Each town has different pricing and schedules. You can use your pass for the originally selected town and to any other destination which pricing is equal or cheaper than the town your pass was primarily bought for.

If you need to travel to a town which pricing is more expensive than the tickets from your pass, you will need to book a single ticket for that trip.
